At BoBo’s Beamers, we create unforgettable sensory experiences that support your baby’s development through play, connection and discovery. But we’re not your average baby class – we turn down the lights and turn up the wonder with glow-in-the-dark sensory fun!
WHAT WE DO
We use lights, music, puppets and storytelling to ignite your baby’s senses and imagination in a comfortable yet magical environment.
Our glow-in-the-dark sessions provide a unique way for babies to explore the world around them, while strengthening their visual tracking, motor skills and sensory awareness.
Whether you're a new parent or adding to your growing family, our classes are a special time for bonding, exploring and meeting other families in a relaxed, friendly space.
OUR CLASSES
BoBo’s Beamers is proudly and fully independent, so all the sessions your baby experiences with us will be totally unique. All sessions are structured so that all parents need to do is come in, get comfortable with their baby, and we will do the rest.
Our classes are set in the dark, with special low coloured lights giving the room a cosy feel. As your baby's welfare is our top priority, we ensure the protection of your baby's delicate eyes by avoiding the use of UV lights. Music plays a key part in our classes, and the tracks are chosen to create a specific atmosphere. It enriches the theme & stories told, while also allowing babies to experience different genres and tempos.
Each week we explore a new theme that is tailored to spark little ones’ imagination around nature, colours, global travel or fantasy. We currently have 12 themes that we cycle around, which means your baby will have reached a different stage developmentally by the time it comes around again and get to experience it in a whole new way. As the stories and themes are created and curated here at BoBo’s Beamers HQ, we can adjust them if needed and take ideas from parents to create new ones. We also have special sessions for holidays such as Halloween, Christmas and Easter - a perfect time to capture those precious moments.
Classes are 45 minutes long and held weekly. We limit our sessions to 12 babies per class to ensure everyone has the space and time to get the most out of the experience.
We use puppets, glow-in-the-dark props and sensory aids for babies to discover, play and interact with. These are thoroughly cleaned before each session to ensure they are safe for every Beamer.
BENEFITS
Our classes are thoughtfully crafted to nurture your little one’s cognitive and social development through music, bubbles, textures, enriching glow-in-the-dark sensory aids, lights and lots of playful exploration, all in a safe, supportive and joy-filled environment.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
Contrasting lights, colours and movement are especially helpful for young eyes, helping them to stimulate and strengthen their visual tracking and focus.
The props we provide introduce cause-and-effect learning, for example, "If I touch this, it lights up”.
Babies can also process and interpret multiple sensory inputs, so our sessions combine visual input such as coloured lights with tactile input in the form of sensory aids that they can touch & explore, along with music. Together, this enhances their ability to integrate sensory information, which is crucial for brain development.
Parents and carers also hold an essential role in our sessions. You support your little one’s journey with movement, song and exploring the sensory aids together. These encourage bonding as well as speech & language development. It’s also an excellent opportunity for you to meet others and build a community with like-minded parents.
PARTIES
Planning your little one’s birthday party is very exciting, but can be a little stressful. We can help take the pressure off, whilst making it an extra special occasion. All we need is a space that can be made fairly dark, and we’ll take care of the rest!
We offer unique & magical birthday packages that include a themed session of your choice followed by music, bubbles and sensory play. Popular party themes have been Beside the Seaside, Pirates Treasure Island and Jungle Adventure.
One of the benefits of not being subject to franchise rules is that we can create a party that's perfect for your baby, and we can even combine two or more themes to include all your little ones'
favourite Bobo’s Beamers moments - how about dinosaurs in space!? A totally bespoke party - just for your baby’s special day. We also offer party equipment, including play tents and soft play blocks, which can be a great addition to your party.
ABOUT ME
I’m Jax, founder & owner of BoBo’s Beamers, and I live in Kelvedon, Essex, with my hubby and two kids. Before having a family, I worked in the performing arts and later with adults who have learning disabilities. After some time off looking after my brood, I decided to go back to work and use the skills I had developed in my education, career and at home. Equipped to entertain & engage your babies, I aim to make Bobo’s Beamers sessions fun, immersive, energetic & tailored to suit your little ones.
This is a family business, and my children often get involved with class content ideas or come along to sessions to help out. My husband is a music producer and technical wizard, so his skills also come in very handy. I know what it's like to try and juggle life with little ones, so I understand if people need to bring babies or older siblings along to sessions, especially in the school holidays. Just let me know first, and I’ll make sure we have space for them!
Having my own business close to where I live has so many benefits. Not only do we get to know one another in our sessions, but I can also signpost parents to local services or fun things going on in the area, which helps make our community stronger.
BoBo’s Beamers is not part of a franchise, so I have the freedom to create and curate every detail of the sessions, from the themes & props all the way to the music that is played. You won't find anything like it! I can tailor classes and parties to meet parents’ needs & demands without any additional cost coming back to you, the customer. I love my job and I will endeavour to continue to work hard to make sure parents and babies receive a high-quality sensory experience that stands out from the rest.
